Debbie Soon is a Singaporean investor, entrepreneur, and advocate for inclusivity in the global onchain community. She is the author of Digital Mavericks, an accessible guide to crypto and blockchain that features inspirational stories from pioneering innovators in the space. With a decade of experience spanning finance, consumer tech, retail, media, and wellness, Debbie is passionate about shaping the future of consumer businesses across the US and Asia.

Previously, she co-founded and served as Co-CEO of HUG, an inclusive social marketplace empowering next-generation creators, launched in 2022 alongside Facebook Live creator Randi Zuckerberg. Under Debbie’s leadership, HUG grew to 35,000+ users across 180+ countries, securing partnerships with major brands such as the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers, L’Oréal, and the United Nations, before its successful acquisition by .ART Domain Registry in 2024.

Debbie’s expertise lies in bridging the worlds of arts, technology, and finance. In 2023, she was recognized by nft now as one of 10 trailblazing Asian founders shaping the future of Web3. She has spoken at major blockchain conferences, such as ETHDenver, NFT NYC, and the USC Blockchain Conference.

Before HUG, Debbie built and invested in multiple multimillion-dollar consumer businesses. She was a portfolio manager at GIC, managing over $1 billion in global consumer sector investments, before joining ONE Championship as Chief of Staff to the CEO and VP of Consumer Products, where she led expansions into new markets and business lines.

Debbie holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an M.S. in Financial Engineering from Columbia University. She also founded Singapore and Southeast Asia’s first boutique indoor cycling studio and remains an avid fitness enthusiast. Outside of championing inclusive innovation, you’ll find her lifting weights, watching football, or hanging out with her senior dog, Guinness.
