David W. Schropfer is a technology executive, founder, and author with more than twenty years of experience building, scaling, and operating technology companies across cybersecurity, cloud computing, telecommunications, mobile commerce, and artificial intelligence. His career spans early-stage startups, high-growth SaaS platforms, and global public companies, with a consistent focus on turning complex technologies into durable, revenue-generating products.

He currently serves as Partner at Vivid Technology Group, where he leads operations, sales growth, product strategy, ‘storytelling’ for his clients.

Previously, David founded and led Anchor ID (SAFE.io), a patented zero-trust cybersecurity platform that transformed mobile devices into secure identity and access tokens. As Founder, CEO, and Chairman, he designed the core security architecture, secured patents, built and managed cross-functional engineering and go-to-market teams, and sold into regulated industries where security, identity, and privacy failures carry material risk.  Earlier in his career, David held senior leadership roles in global telecommunications and Software and a Service companies.

David is also a published author, with books and whitepapers on digital security, mobile wallets, and emerging technology ecosystems, including works that reached number-one rankings on Amazon in their category. He has been quoted by NPR, the Financial Times, American Banker, and other outlets, providing analysis on cybersecurity, payments, and digital transformation. He holds an MBA from the University of Miami and a BA from Boston College.

David published a book on managing digital threats for consumers, “Digital Habits” in August, 2016. Previously, he published industry standards like “The Smartphone Wallet- Understanding the Disruption Ahead,” “Google Wallet and the New Retail Ecosystem,” “Google Wallet 2.0,” and “Top 20 Public Companies in the Mobile Wallet Industry” which were used for years by the media and business people alike to decipher the rapidly developing ecosystem of mobile commerce.  Click here for all of his books.
