Dr. Dale W. Meyerrose, Major General, U.S. Air Force retired, is an international, preeminent technology and cybersecurity strategist. As president of the MeyerRose Group, he consults with business, government, and academic organizations on strategy, digital transformation, telemedicine technologies, cybersecurity, and executive leadership. He is a partner of RIDGE-LANE Limited Partners, a merchant-bank founded by financier R. Brad Lane and The Honorable Thomas J. Ridge, former Governor of Pennsylvania and first Secretary of U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He is an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University, where he runs one of the very few cybersecurity leadership certificate programs in the Country. Dr. Meyerrose is an adjunct contract professor for the United States Air Force. He is Chairman of the Board for Imcon International, Inc. and on the Board of Directors/Advisors of multiple other American and International corporations. He is also a Trustee and the Treasurer for the U.S. Air Force Academy Falcon Foundation.
Dr. Meyerrose was the first President-appointed, U.S. Senate-confirmed chief information officer for the U.S. Intelligence Community when it reorganized in 2005. Just prior to that, Dr. Meyerrose spent over 30 years forging a highly decorated career in the U.S. Air Force as a difference-maker whose innovation, skill, and commitment produced an enviable record of accomplishment. He served as the chief information officer for seven major military commands. Known for crisis leadership, Dr. Meyerrose had major leadership roles against the early cyber-attacks on government networks, creation of the early cybersecurity response centers, and reorganizing new homeland defense architectures for the Nation in the wake of the attacks of September 11, 2001.
After Dr. Meyerrose’s long and distinguished government career, he was a vice president and general manager for Harris Corporation, a Global Fortune 500 company. He was responsible for leading all aspects of strategy, business development and program execution for cyber growth initiatives across the corporation—and participated in multiple merger and acquisition activities. He started a new line of business from the ground up to include building an award winning next-generation cyber/data center. He also served the interim chief executive officer for the non-profit American Registry of Internet Numbers. Dr. Meyerrose is a noted keynote speaker at policy and technical national and international conferences and lectured at over twenty universities. He has been frequently quoted in news and trade publications and routinely appeared on internationally and nationally aired programs, including Fox New, CNN, Bloomberg International, MSNBC, VoiceAmerica and WTOP Federal News Radio.
Dr. Meyerrose earned the Doctoral Prize for Excellence in Scholarship and Research, from the School of Information Studies, Syracuse University. His recognition includes: International Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s Person of the Year, the Executive CIO Top 10 Leaders and Innovators Public Service Award for excellence in public leadership, and “The Federal 100” by Federal Computer Weekly. He was also recognized by Government Computer News for Outstanding Information Technology Achievement in Government. Dr. Meyerrose has been inducted into four Halls of Fame and honored with nine lifetime achievement awards by various professional associations.
Dr. Meyerrose graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and from the University of Utah with a Master in Business Administration. He earned a Doctor of Professional Studies in Information Management from the School of Information Studies, Syracuse University, where his award winning research focused on introducing wireless technologies to telemedicine for the treatment of chronic conditions. He graduated from the National War College and attended senior executive programs at: the National Defense University in Washington, DC; Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama; Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government; the University of California at Berkley Haas School of Business; and the University Of Virginia Darden School Of Business.
